What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system that treats disease by the use of natural substances. When these natural substances are administered to a healthy person, they produce symptoms similar to the condition for which they are being treated. When a small, often infinitesimal, dose of a substance is administered to a person who exhibits symptoms of the illness, that substance can stimulate the body’s own healing abilities to effect a deep and long lasting cure.
Homeopathy, according to Dr. Samuel Halnemann, is based of the law of simile similibus curantur, or ‘let likes be cured by likes’.
Homeopathic remedies are derived from the plant, mineral and animal kingdom and are used to treat a wide range of conditions including:
- Acute infections
- Chronic diseases and emotional disorders
Remedies are carefully selected according to each individual case. These remedies stimulate the body’s own defense system. They act on the body’s own vital force to heal, in harmony, the body, mind and spirit without any toxic side effects. All homeopathic remedies are highly diluted.
Prevention is better than cure.
